POLICE are appealing for information after a man approached a 13-year-old girl in an Otley park.
The man, who was in a silver car, went up to the girl who was with friends in the play area off Tealbeck Approach just after 3pm on Sunday. The girls ran off and the police were then called.
The man was white, aged in his sixties or seventies, with thick grey hair. He was wearing a green jacket and driving a silver saloon car with a spoiler on the boot.
He was with a woman who is white, aged in her 50s or 60s, with short dark brown hair in a bob style.
Detective Sergeant Andy Cass, of Leeds District CID, said: “It is possible there may be an explanation for what occurred and, if that was the case, I would appeal directly to the man involved to contact us.” Anyone with information, call Leeds District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
