CYCLE stands are to be built in a village as part of the Tour de France’s legacy.
Leeds City Council is proposing to install two stands, to encourage more children to use bicycles, within Pool-in-Wharfedale’s playground.
The idea was suggested by the Parish Council and should become a reality next year, barring any objections.
The work would be paid for out of a £15,000 Local Transport Plan funding pot Leeds has received to increase cycle parking in Otley and Pool.
Pool, like Otley, was one of the Tour de France’s spectator hubs in July.
