HUNDREDS of visitors attended the 14th beer festival in Otley.
The festival has raised more than £65,000 for charity since it started and this year’s event took place at Otley Rugby Club, with a tribute to previous organiser Mike Foster, of the Otley Real Ale Tasting Society, who had a beer named in his memory.
MP Greg Mulholland is a regular attendee at the festival, which was held at the weekend, and said: “Congratulations to the Otely RATS and everyone that helped make this year’s festival another success.”
“Mike Foster, who died earlier this year, rightly had a beer, the RATS Remembrance, in his honour. He did a fantastic job helping organise the festival and is sadly missed.
“It is great to see friends from the Parish Church, CAMRA branches, local breweries and the local community come together to enjoy this charity event. Well done!”
