COMMUNICATIONS specialist Clare Addy from Otley-based agency Words & Pictures helped to inspire young people at the UK’s largest skills and careers event.
Clare, head of digital and engagement, appeared at The Skills Show at the NEC, Birmingham, which was supported by former Dragons’ Den star, Theo Paphitis.
Her session, which she also presented at The Bradford Skills Show, forms the basis of a longer workshop accredited as part of Words&Pictures’ affiliation with the Children’s University. It inspires young people to think about their own strengths, how they can lift their aspirations, encourages them to increase participation in the things that make them feel great, and achieve their goals.
Clare said: “I’m passionate about raising the aspirations of young people and it’s one of Words&Pictures guiding values too. So, I was delighted to be invited to deliver a spotlight session at the show.
“This opportunity marries up with so many of the things that make me tick and is wonderfully aligned with so much of what we do here at Words&Pictures.”
