Yeadon has been hit by a spate of burglaries and attempted break-ins at business premises.
The first of the attempted burglaries last week happened when a tool was used to damage a rear door lock and an unsuccessful attempt was made to force the door open.
In a second, successful attempt on Kirk Lane, thieves climbed onto a low roof to get into a property through an upstairs window. Police say a large amount of property was taken but most of this has since been recovered.
In another burglary on the High Street a tool was used to remove metal bars from a window which thieves then smashed to break in.
A further unsuccessful attempt happened at a premises on Moorfield Road where thieves failed to break in despite using bolt croppers on door padlocks.
