The funeral of a six-year-old boy who had neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, will take place on Thursday.
Harry Buckley, of Otley, was diagnosed with the disease in 2011 and underwent months of treatment including a major operation.
His condition was declared terminal last March, but The Whartons Primary School pupil spent the next year cramming fun-packed and creative experiences in which were chronicled in a book Runaway Joey!.
Harry lost his fight last Tuesday among his family of mum Sarah, dad Paul and younger brother, Callum, four.
Proceeds of the book will go to Nuzzlets farm, which takes animals into Martin House Children’s Hospice. The book costs £5 and can be purchased at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/HarryBuckleyandfriends.
Harry’s funeral service at All Saints Parish Church, Otley, will be followed by a private cremation with the family releasing balloons at High Royds Social Club, Menston, at 3pm.
