Young people’s theatre group X-Plosion Cultural Arts is putting on a production of Romeo and Juliet to celebrate Black History Month.
Called Rudio and Julietta, it is aimed at introducing new audiences to performing arts. “It draws from past and current musical trends and stories and adds a dash of cultural perspective to customise the story to different audiences,” said writer Linda Peltier-Binns.
It will be performed at Dixons City Academy, Ripley Street, Bradford, on Saturday at 6.30pm.
