A decision on a controversial scheme for more than 400 homes near Bingley will be published in July, following a public inquiry.
A Government planning inspector is set to submit a report on plans by developers from Bellway and Redrow to build between 420 and 440 homes on green fields in Sty Lane, Micklethwaite.
The Secretary of State will give his final decision on the proposals on July 16.
Campaigners from Greenhill Action Group have been fighting the plans and won a partial victory last year when members of Bradford Council’s Shipley Area Planning Panel threw out the proposals, over concerns about access to the planned estate, which would be over a new swing bridge across the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
The inspector heard evidence from the developers, GAG and the Council, after Redrow and Bellway appealed during a ten-day public inquiry at City Hall.
