A helicopter camera is prepared to fly around the City Park for the BBC’s One Show
A remote-controlled helicopter could be seen hovering over City Park yesterday, prompting inquiring looks from bemused onlookers.
The device, which resembled a giant eyeball looking down over the Mirror Pool, rose up and buzzing around the fountain and lighting columns. One onlooker said it appeared to be carrying a camera and passers-by were wondering what it was doing.
Workers wearing jackets emblazoned with a logo for London-based aerial surveillance and photography firm Flying Eye UK, were operating the device.
It is believed they were taking footage to be used on BBC’s The One Show.
