Court chaplain to leave service

The Bradford Court Chaplaincy Team manager, the Rev Dr Barry Barton, is leaving, to be closer to his family in Kent.

Mr Barton has been involved with the Chaplaincy Service since its inception in June 2009, along with the only Muslim Court Chaplain in the UK, Latif Mir.

Mr Mir said: “We are the first multi-faith court chaplaincy in the UK. Barry’s contribution to this cannot be underestimated.”

Chairman of the Trustees, Mary Carroll said: “We are all going to miss Barry very much. His replacement needs to be an enthusiastic and committed Christian minister with plenty of vision and energy.”
