A dozen young unemployed people from Bradford were celebrating after successfully completing courses designed to get them into jobs.
Bradford’s Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Val Slater presented certificates to the successful students, who have completed courses in health and safety and communication skills.
They have also learned interview skills and taken part in work placements as part of the programme, run by the Prince’s Trust and delivered in Bradford by learning provider Prospects.
Project leader Sybil Bryan said: “It has been very successful.
“One young person who went on placement was able to secure an apprenticeship in admin working for an estate agents and there are others with employment in the pipeline.
“We have had some very supportive employers. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to do this at all.”
