Barkerend teenager found at address in Peel park View area

Missing Bradford teenager Mevish Anwar has been found safe and well in the Peel Park area of the city.

The 16-year-old, of Browning Street, Barkerend, had last been seen yesterday afternoon in Peel Park View, walking towards Otley Road at about 4.15pm.

She was eventually found at an address in that area after police, who were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare, carried out extensive searches and house-to-house enquiries in the streets close to her home.

The searches had started at about 5pm with police talking to residents and showing a picture of her.

A police spokesman thanked the public for their help.
