A Bradford humanitarian charity’s project to build a children’s hospital in Pakistan has been given weighty backing by boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

Basic Human Rights, based in Sunbridge Road, is already running medical camps and mobile health units in areas of the country which have been badly affected by flooding.

Now it wants to open a specialist children’s hospital to concentrate on providing free medical aid to marginalised families.

*That's* Muhammad Ali????!
.
Oh man; he's totally unrecognisable.
.
BTW, re, this particular charity, is there any way we can see a breakdown of their expenditure, how much they spend on admin costs etc... ?

Nothing untoward, looks well run with people taking very minimal salaries to cover expenses.
.
Not the most prolific charity, but the level of money going to the causes they're raising for is very high.
.
Compared to a few others I've seen, it seems to be a really well run charity.

The childrens hospital may come in very usefull as America are still a bit peaved with Pakistan over the location that Osama Bin Laden was alledgedly executed by the late Seal Team 6 and are currently working with the UK government to overturn a global ban on cluster bombs.

He's 70 and has secondary Parkinson's - alas, time waits for no man, Rupert!
