Legionella bug found at Bradford University centre

The water system at a health centre at Bradford University was being treated this weekend after legionella was discovered in a routine inspection.

The Unique Fitness & Lifestyle centre has been closed until Monday, October 10, while the water system is treated as a precautionary measure.

Experts have said the bacteria, found during an inspection by the university’s standard control measures, pose only a ‘low’ health risk.
