A girl was repeatedly abused for months by a “sexual predator” nearly three times her age, a Court heard.

Juraj Badi, 44, had sex with the 15-year-old girl, who lived in Bradford three or four times a week, Bradford Crown Court was told.

Badi, a Slovakian, had made the girl pregnant, the court heard.

Judge James Spencer QC yesterday described Badi as a “sexual predator,” after the defendant pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child. He had initially denied two charges of raping the girl, who was preparing to give evidence via video link on the second day of Badi’s trial when he dramatically pleaded guilty to the alternative charges.

The jury of eight men and four women found Badi not guilty of the rape charges, on the direction of the judge.

Judge Spencer said it was accepted the girl may have been a consenting party.

Prosecutor Adrian Strong told the court that paternity tests, along with DNA findings, strongly supported that Badi was the father of the girl’s child.

He said Badi, of Brandfort Street, Lidget Green, Bradford, had at least one conviction in Slovakia for rape.

Mr Strong had told the jury Badi had sex with the girl on numerous occasions throughout 2010.

The prosecutor said Badi had begun paying the rent for the girl’s family.

In return, her mother allowed her home to be used for the purposes of prostitution, Mr Strong alleged.

Police were alerted on December 27. The girl told officers she had been forced to have sex with Badi many times.

Mr Strong said she described physical abuse she suffered from Badi and how she was forced three or four times a week to have sex with him. She said they first had sex when she was 13 and Badi made sure she did not tell police by using threats and physical abuse.

Judge Spencer adjourned sentencing for psychological reports on behalf of the defence. He said there could be an indeterminate sentence if he found Badi was dangerous.
