Detectives have released this e-fit of a man they are hunting after a teenage student was allegedly sexually assaulted in a Bradford park.

The 17-year-old victim was walking on a path through Horton Park to Bradford College, after being dropped off by her mother, when she was confronted by the man.

The girl’s grandmother, who cannot be named to protect the identity of her granddaughter, said the man grabbed her and forced her on to a park bench, where he sexually assaulted her.

He fled, in the direction of Horton Park Avenue, when he was disturbed by a passer-by.

The teenager ran to the college and raised the alarm.

The attack took place on Wednesday, April 27, between 9.55am and 10.15am, but police have only just released details of the offence and an e-fit.

The suspect is described as Asian, in his late 20s, about 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with black hair which had a small parting. He wore thin, oval glasses with a black frame and was dressed in a cream short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Police said officers had been conducting investigations since the incident and were now calling on the public for their help.

The grandmother said: “My granddaughter has been traumatised by what happened, but she went back with police to where it happened, and helped them compile the e-fit.

“I would urge anyone who can help the police with their investigation to contact them.”

Any witnesses, or anyone with any information, should call PC Andrew Teale, of Bradford South Police, on 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
