A Bradford paedophile was caught after sharing his sexual fantasies with a 14-year-old girl in Australia, a Court heard.

The teenager’s mother told the local police and they contacted officers in West Yorkshire.

Matthew Dunn’s home was raided and his laptop computer, containing images of child bondage and rape, seized. Dunn, 22, of Harper Grove, Idle, pleaded guilty to 20 charges of making an indecent photo of a child and one “roll-up” offence of possessing 234 indecent images of children.

Prosecutor Alisha Kaye told Bradford Crown Court yesterday that Dunn was arrested in November 2008 after discussing his sexual fantasies with the girl in an internet chat room.

She complained to her parents and police traced Dunn to his home in Bradford.

Miss Kaye said one image on the laptop was in the most serious, level 5 bracket and 71 were at level 4.

The court heard that images showed children as young as four semi-naked, bound and being raped. Dunn, who was wholly frank with police and his probation officer, admitted he was obsessed with collecting child porn.

He said he fantasised about sexual activity with children and could not stop himself possessing indecent images.

Dunn had been using chat rooms since his early teens and confessed to showing indecent images to other people on-line.

The judge sentenced Dunn to a three-year community order to include a sex offender programme. He was banned indefinitely from working with children and ordered to register as a sex offender for five years, and his laptop forfeited by the court.
