Four people were arrested by armed police early today following a disturbance at a house in Farnham Road, Lidget Green, Bradford.
They were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and possession of firearms and were being held for questioning, said a West Yorkshire Police spokesman.
Neighbours said they were woken at about 3am when they heard police shouting outside the terraced house.
The house remained sealed off this morning with officers standing guard as investigations continued.
