College staff to join jobs protest

Staff at Bradford College are tomorrow due to join a national protest over job cuts.

UNISON members plan to gather at noon outside the Westbrook Building to call for an end to redundancies and nursery closures taking place at colleges throughout the country.

While no redundancies have been announced at the college, more than 50 employers in England have revealed plans to axe jobs.

Bradford UNISON convenor, Saba Gabrielle Moussa, said: “Our members are concerned about their future and Bradford College as all colleges in the country will suffer from the cut off funding next year.”
