A Slovakian miner involved in a campaign of rape against Bradford prostitutes has been branded a public danger and locked up indefinitely.

Lubomir Kora must stay behind bars for eight years before he is even considered for parole.

Kora, 33, a father-of-six, wept as he was led to the cells at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

He had been convicted by a jury of conspiracy to rape after a ten-day trial last month.

Kora, wearing a pinstripe suit and white shirt, was described by Judge Roger Scott as “chillingly indifferent” to his victims who were attacked by up to three other men after being lured inside his people carrier. There was a “substantial risk” he would commit similar offences again.

Jailing Kora, Judge Scott told him: “The offences were getting worse and there was every risk that death would result.”

Kora’s wife and mother were in court to hear statements from his victims. One’s shocking ordeal was photographed by Kora using his mobile phone. Jurors were shown more than 20 pictures of the harrowing attack.

Another said her life was destroyed and she was seeing a psychiatric nurse. Kora had shown no mercy even though she pleaded with him.

A third said: “They were a pack of animals and treated me like one.” The youngest, 19, suffers flashbacks and depression.

The judge described Kora, who lived with his family at a hostel in Idle Road, Bradford, as the gang’s facilitator and interpreter.

It was his Toyota Previa five girls were lured into.

Judge Scott was told by Stephen Wood, for the Crown, international arrest warrants were issued for the three men who vanished.

Detective Inspector Paul Harrison, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “The victims were subjected to a horrific and sustained attack.

“This man gave no thought to their rights and treated the whole ordeal as a form of fun for him and his associates."
