Police have revealed that two people killed in a road accident in Bradford city centre early today were teenage boys.

The 16-year-olds died in the crash in Hall Ings at about 3am when a Nissan Primera smashed into a lamppost.

Police now believe that the Primera was travelling with a Nissan Micra.

The vehicles are thought to have come into the city centre along Thornton Road and were heading towards Leeds Road when the collision happened.

The dead boys, who have not been named but who were from the Beeston area of Leeds, were passengers in the Nissan Primera.

Three men, aged 17, 18 and 33, were arrested at the scene. Two remain in custody and one is receiving treatment in hospital.

Anyone who saw either of the vehicles being driven prior to the incident or who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sergeant Hugh Robinson at Bradford South Roads Policing on 0845 6060606.
