Charity plea issued

5:50pm Thursday 21st August 2008

By Clive White »

Voluntary groups are being asked to help send a container-load of relief supplies to Africa.

Enough items are needed to fill a 40-foot container for the Mpika Relief Fund’s workers in Zambia. Items requested include mattresses, sewing machines, cycles, wool, cloth, nappies, baby formula, school equipment like pens and exercise books, and clothing, including school uniforms.

The appeal has been made by Lynn Leadbeatter, a research and development officer with Keighley Voluntary Services.

Anyone able to help should contact June Martin on 07737 731077.
