Police investigating the disappearance of a 32-year-old woman are appealing to Bradford’s Indian community who may know where she is.

Kumari Tamang speaks limited English and has been missing since June. She was working as a nanny and failed to return to her employers after a trip to Shipley town centre. Information gathered by detectives suggest she may have been working for an Indian family in Bradford.

Detective Inspector John Mountain, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: “We had a positive response to the last press appeal with several sightings around the Four Lane Ends and Thornton Road areas of Bradford.

“We’ve had information that suggests Kumari may be working for an Indian family in the Bradford area. I’m particularly appealing to members of the Indian community to contact us if they know where Kumari is.”

She is described as oriental, 5ft 2ins tall, of medium build, with a tanned complexion, brown eyes and collar-length black hair which is usually tied back. She was wearing brown jeans and a black leather jacket.

Anyone with information should call PC Jayne Allan on 0845 6060606.
