OASTLER Market will once again host a day of music, art and drama during the second of two events to celebrate its significance to the city.
Arts group WUR Bradford held the first of its two We Are Here events this past Saturday, with the day seeing live poetry, violin performances, tours of the market and DJs playing tunes requested by the market traders.
This Saturday the second event will run from noon to 4pm, and includes a piece of theatre written by Kirsty Taylor, based on stories of the market, live acoustic music and tours of the market and its history.
Members of Wur Bradford have been working with market traders and members of the public for the past few months to document the market’s history.
An exhibition of their work is also running in Kala Sangam.
