THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in Bradford yesterday.

Police were called to Sawrey House in Sawrey Place, Little Horton on Wednesday morning to a report of a concern for safety.

Officers attended at just before 11am, and found a man, aged 30, dead at the property.

Three men, aged 36, 47, and 66, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstance of the incident.

Crime scene investigators have been on the scene at the property today.

A cordon remains in place at the scene and police were guarding the entrance to the property.

The block of flats, opposite a children's playground on the residential street, provides fully furnished accommodation for students and professionals.

One resident of Sawrey Place, who wished to remain anonymous, said the incident has made him fearful for his family.

He said: "It is not the first thing that has happened on this street.

"For me you just have to get on with it, but for my wife and my mother, it really worries them.

"I have asked my employer if I can switch to working days instead of evenings to be with my family because of it all, and I have shown them Telegraph & Argus articles about it all and will be showing them about this one too.

"There are always random people coming in and out of Sawrey House, it's a place people just come and go from.

"Without that place and the house on the street where the 2014 murder happened, there wouldn't be any problems on here, it would be a much nicer place.

"I have lived here since I was a child so I have just grown up dealing with it, but it is scary for my family and it's them I am more concerned for."

In 2014, two people were murdered at a property in Sawrey Place. This incident also comes just days before a murder trial is due to begin after a man was killed at an address in the nearby Ashgrove in November last year.
