TWO uninsured cars have been seized by police after they were both borrowed by friends and family members.

In the first of the two separate incidents, an uninsured blue Vauxhall car (pictured), which was borrowed by the driver from a friend was seized by police in Rooley Lane.

West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit tweeted: “Rooley Lane, Bradford. Vehicle seized no insurance borrowed from a friend. If you drive someone else’s car make sure you’re insured.”

Meanwhile, officers also seized a car driven by a man who borrowed it from his father’s car without being insured.

The silver Audi A2 was stopped by police in Beckside Road, Bradford, for a tax offence, but officers seized the car after discovering it had been borrowed from the driver’s family member.

Both of the vehicles were seized yesterday.
