FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Queensbury on Thursday night after reports from a neighbour of a fire in the property.
One crew from Fairweather Green station attended the house in York Street, Queensbury, at 11.30pm, where they found a female occupant in the house.
Firefighters went into the property and found the smoke coming from the house was caused by cooking that had been burned on the grill.
The woman was removed from the house by police and treated for possibly smoke inhalation in an ambulance.
A spokesman from Fairweather Green said the damage inside the how was minimal, and fans were used to clear smoke from the property.
He added that the burned food was taken outside and the grill switched off, but the food was in such a burned state it was unrecognisable.
