BRADFORD rock singer Justin Sullivan called into the Bradford Steampunk and Gothic Fair.
The New Model Army singer – and Joolz Denby, who designs and performs with the band – attended the event on Saturday, September 23, at the Brew Haus bar and Stein Bierkeller, off Great Horton Road, to help raise awareness of hate crime.
They received a £500 cheque on behalf of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
They are both supporters of the Foundation, which raises awareness of hate crime against people from alternative sub-cultures. Sophie Lancaster died in 2007 after she and her boyfriend were attacked in Lancashire for being goths.

The fair featured more than 20 stalls, and events including ‘tea duelling’ with tea and biscuits.
Fair organiser Catherine Gilford said the £500 came from stalls at last year’s event and there were still more funds to come from an online auction which will see donated merchandise from bands including New Model Army and The Damned go under the virtual hammer at facebook.com/Sophie-Auction-339557556461253/.
