A SPATE of vehicle fires took place around Bradford overnight.
Firefighters from Bradford fire station were called at 11.40pm to a car fire in New Lane to the rear of Tong Garden Centre, where a dark grey Vauxhall Astra had been torched.
They were then called out again to another car fire at around 2.45am in Legrams Lane, near the Mumtaz factory in Listerhills.
A Mercedes-Benz, described by a spokesman for the station as a "fairly fancy one" had been set alight in a compound.
Crews from Fairweather Green and Shipley were called to a van fire at 2.36am.
The van, a blue Renault Trafic, had been set on fire in a back alley to the rear of Jesmond Avenue near Bonn Road in Heaton.
