Anniversary of brass hit celebrated
BRIGHOUSE & Rastrick Band are commemorating the 40th anniversary of their iconic tune, The Floral Dance.
The band will perform the famous track at a concert at Huddersfield Town Hall tomorrow, from 7.30pm.
Members of the original band will unite under the direction of conductor and arranger Derek Broadbent, of Wyke, who masterminded the chart hit which climbed to number two in the singles chart in December 1977, beating the Bee Gees, Queen and Status Quo.
