THE Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival received a special visit today as the event got into full swing.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Geoff Reid visited the festival, which is being held at Victoria Hall in Saltaire, to sample some of the local brews on offer.

The festival began on Thursday, and tomorrow is its last day. It will be open until 10pm with live entertainment from 7pm.

There are beers from all of Bradford’s breweries available at the festival, including a range of real ales, beers, ciders, perries and wines from further afield in the UK, and also a selection of international drinks.

Guests will also get the chance to be the first people to try Keighley-based brewery Timothy Taylor’s new beer, Knowles Spring Blonde, which is making its debut at the festival.

The Lord Mayor said: “Thank you to the organisers and volunteers for the hard work that has once again gone into this festival.

“And thank you to Bradford CAMRA for inviting people to support the Lord Mayor’s Appeal charity, Young Minds, with unused tokens.”
