THE owner of a stolen yellow scooter has been reunited with his machine after it was found abandoned near allotments in Denholme.
The bike had been spotted near Foster Park by a member of the public today who alerted the police.
Officers from the Nuisance Bike team were able to contact the owner who had reported the bike as stolen.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Thanks to the public, this (report) allowed officers to locate the bike and return it to its owner in a short space of time.
"Please continue to contact the police with any information concerning anti-social use of bikes and quad bikes in your area. Officers from the team will always follow up on any information and will treat any calls as confidential."
