PLANS to build a three-storey building featuring shops and apartments on the site of a former pub have been submitted to Bradford Council.

If successful, the application would see development on the site of the former Junction Hotel in Leeds Road, which was knocked down a number of years ago.

The ground floor would be made up of two retail units, with two floors featuring six apartments above, and the site would incorporate two disabled parking spaces, six spaces for the apartments, and seven spaces for the two retail units.

The larger retail unit would be occupied by a mini market, with the other being occupied by fast-food chain Subway and a pharmacy.

On the first floor, there would be three two-bedroom flats and two one-bedroom flats, and on the second floor there would be one two-bedroom flat.

To comment against or in favour of the proposed development, visit Bradford Council's planning website or write to the Planning Service, Britannia House, Hall Ings, BD1 1HX, before Wednesday, March 15.
