POLICE are hunting a gang of masked men who forced their way into a Bradford house and demanded jewellery from the occupants.

The suspects, one of whom was thought to have been carrying a knife, searched the house on Northdale Mount before leaving empty-handed.

They are believed to have made off in a black Volkswagen Golf, which was driven by a third suspect who remained in the vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the aggravated burglary, which took place at around 8.20pm on Tuesday.

One of the men is described as 6ft 2ins tall and wearing a navy blue Adidas zip-up jacket with white stripes down the arms.

He was wearing black, ankle-length builders’ boots with laces, and spoke with a Yorkshire accent.

He is believed to be white and well-built.

The second suspect is described as 5ft 11ins tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a black top, black bottoms and a baggy top.

Both men were wearing black builders’ gloves.

Temporary Detective Inspector, Matt Walker of Bradford District CID, said: "This was an extremely distressing incident for those involved and I would appeal to anyone who has any information to contact us.

"I would also ask people to think back and contact us if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on this date, or anyone who may have seen the vehicle described being driven in the area to get in touch."

Anyone with information can contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13170026023, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
