FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a bedroom blaze in the city.
Crews from Bradford and Odsal Fire Stations were called at 8.10am to a terraced house in Gaythorne Road, West Bowling.
Three adults who were inside the property when it happened yesterday were alerted by a smoke alarm sounding and got outside.
Crews confirmed no one was hurt in the incident and they had made the area safe by 10am.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and related to electrics.
Watch Commander Mick Kilburn at Odsal Fire Station said: “This was a substantial fire in the bedroom which burned a hole in the floor and also caused damage to the ceiling. The occupants did the correct thing by closing the internal doors which prevented the spread of fire and smoke. They got outside and dialled 999 and firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze."
