PUPILS and staff at Carrwood Primary School in Holme Wood swapped their uniform for Christmas jumpers yesterday to raise money for charity.
They also had a special Christmas dinner and donated £1 each to their Christmas charity, Save the Children.
The festive fun at Carrwood has not stopped there however, with the school’s Winter Wonderland going on display tomorrow for parents.
There will be displays in each classroom featuring images including polar bears, unicorns and a giant Nutcracker, and a collection will be made.
Parents will also be able to buy reindeer food to sprinkle outside their homes on Christmas Eve.
Andrew Wilcock, headteacher at Carrwood, said: “We have provided some new attractions this year to make the Winter Wonderland look even more spectacular.
“These events are a great opportunity for parents, carers, staff and pupils to enjoy the festive season, while raising money for charity.”
