A Twitter user has called into question Yorkshire Tea's claim on the county, resulting in a funny exchange after the brand tweeted a humorous response.

Angry customer @2spikywwefans, a wrestling fan from Leicester, wrote "Hey can you tell me which part of great Yorkshire you actually grow your Yorkshire tea?"

The person behind the brand's Twitter account joked in their response that the leaves were grown "in our massive hydroponic tea plantation two miles beneath the surface of Dewsbury".

The original poster didn't seem to see the funny side, but the conversation was soon overtaken by others who did.
