PEOPLE from Bradford have been urged to get their trainers on and join a fundraiser running a world record 401 marathons in 401 days for charity.

Ben Smith is aiming to run the 26.3-mile distance every day, looking to raise £250,000 for the Stonewall and Kidscape charities. He will be taking part in three marathons in three days in the Bradford district.

On Monday, August 1, he will set off for marathon number 336, from the Leisure Club in Keighley.

The following day, marathon number 337, he will leave Peel Park, Undercliffe, at 10am, run to Saltaire and Otley and return to Peel Park via Leeds Bradford Airport in Yeadon.

On Wednesday, August 3, for marathon 338, Mr Smith will lead off from City Hall at 10am, taking in Lister Park, Centenary Square, Cleckheaton, Bowling Park, Horton Park, before finishing at City Hall at 4.30pm. People can join the run for any length of the marathon.

Mr Smith, of Bristol, is due to complete his epic challenge with a marathon in Bristol on October 5 this year.
