A MAN who flouted a court order because he was too busy working as a security guard to do unpaid work has been warned by a judge to “knuckle down or go to jail.”
Mouzham Jahangir, 32, was sentenced to a 12-month community order in November after admitting possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
Bradford Crown Court heard then that police found 26.5g of the drug and almost £8,000 in cash when they raided his home in Duckworth Grove, Girlington, in September 2014.
Today, he was back in court to plead guilty to two charges of failing to attend appointments to complete 200 hours of unpaid work. He had done just 45 hours in the past six months.
Jahangir’s barrister, Howard Shaw, said he had prioritised his job as a security guard but had since been suspended or dismissed because of his conviction.
Judge Peter Benson added an extra 20 hours of unpaid work.
