A man wanted by police in Latvia for drugs offences was caught by police after a crash in Bradford.
The 45-year-old was caught and his vehicle seized following the accident on Hall Lane.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At about 1.36pm on Monday, April 4, officers were called to a report of a damage only collision in Hall Lane, involving a blue Skoda Octavia, a black Peugeot 206 and a blue Ford Focus.
"They were informed at the scene that the driver of the Peugeot, who was wearing a red hooded top, had fled on foot.
"Enquiries were made in the area to trace him and he was subsequently found by a member of the public and returned to the scene. "His details were checked and it transpired that the 45-year-old man was wanted in Latvia for drugs offences."
He was arrested and appeared before City of Westminster magistrates yesterday for an extradition hearing.
The black Peugeot 206 was also found to be uninsured.
