THIS Audi car which was seized by police after its owner was found not to be insured will be crushed.

Officers were on patrol in the Gain Lane area of Bradford when they spotted the car and after "witnessing some of the driver's driving standards" they stopped to speak to him.

On checking the driver and the vehicle it transpired that he did not have any insurance to drive the car.

The car was seized and the driver interviewed at the roadside and reported for summons.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Although the driver did have a full licence his driving standards were not the best and it was for this reason he was stopped.

"We have taken another uninsured vehicle from the road which will now be crushed."
