Detectives are studying CCTV footage in a bid to identify "disgusting bullies" who injured a man after repeatedly ramming his car on a busy Bradford garage forecourt.

The 44-year-old victim alerted police after fleeing the scene of the "targeted" attack, and needed hospital treatment for a cut to his arm.
Detectives described the incident, which happened at the BP service station in Barkerend Road, Barkerend, at around 7.40pm yesterday, as "shocking."

The incident took place at the BP service station in Barkerend Road last night.

This morning, car debris could be seen on the ground where the petrol station's forecourt meets the pavement.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a petrol station in Barkerend Road at about 7.42pm last night after a man made an anonymous call to say his vehicle had been deliberately hit by another car.

"The caller reported he was injured and that the offending vehicle had left the scene.

"Police attended and located the caller, a 44-year-old man, and established he had suffered a cut to his arm which was not thought to be serious.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

One man told the Telegraph & Argus: "There was a large disturbance at the BP petrol station on Barkerend Road where a group of men in 4x4 vehicles rammed a single man in a VW jetta."

Meanwhile, a video showing the disturbance emerged via social media and had been shared more than 3,000 times within three hours.

Another reader contacted the T&A to say the footage was "shocking."

Witnesses watched in horror as the man's silver Volkswagen Jetta was deliberately driven into several times by a dark 4X4 vehicle.

The footage shows the 4X4 twice being reversed at speed into the front of the VW, which was parked at the garage. Men then got out of the 4X4 and ran over to the VW. One of them smashed the driver's side window and he was struck, before the Jetta was driven towards the exit, hitting another stationary car, and then being rammed again by the 4X4.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, who is leading the investigation, said the victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with the occupants of another vehicle before the incident.
He said the 4X4 then arrived at the garage and rammed the victim's car a number of times while he was in it.
Det Insp Bragg said: "This was a shocking incident on a garage forecourt where members of the public were going about their normal business. It's clearly a concern that this should happen, but it should be emphasised that we believe this was a targeted attack."

He said officers were looking into suggestions that a baseball bat could have been used to smash the driver's window and inquiries were under way to establish a link between the occupants of the 4X4 and those involved in the verbal altercation. They are also examining CCTV footage from the garage.
