FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a large pile of burning waste which has been illegally tipped on a piece of waste land.
The fire on land at the back of the Lyceum bar on Bradford Lane, Laisterdyke, is thought to have been started deliberately.
Fire crews said the fly-tipped waste included fridges, builders' rubble and plastic.
A spokesman for the fire service said they had been called out "numerous times" to put out fires at the location.
The spokesman said a local business had previously attempted to block access to the site but it continued to be used as an unauthorised tip.
A crew from Bradford fire station dealt with the blaze at 10.30am on Saturday. No-one was injured and no property was damaged.
