AN ELDERLY pedestrian has suffered "potentially serious" injuries in an accident with a car in Bradford today.
The 84 year-old woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the incident in Smith Avenue, Buttershaw, shortly before 12pm.
The car involved was a silver Citroen C3.
Smith Avenue was closed in both directions between the Collbrook Avenue junction and the Sharp Avenue junction, while police and emergency services dealt with the accident.
A police spokesman said the road re-opened at 2.15pm.
