A MAN and a woman, arrested after hospital staff raised concerns about an injured baby boy, have been bailed while police investigations continue.

Detectives were called to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) on Sunday night after the six-month-old baby, who had been taken in with bruising to his wrists, was found to have suffered chest and head injuries.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent. The pair have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The baby today remained in hospital in a stable condition, said a police spokesman.

Police have carried out inquiries at an address in Windermere Road, Horton Bank Top, (pictured) in connection with the investigation.
