A MAN found collapsed in Bradford city centre has died. Police started an investigation and arrested a 62-year-old woman after the man, 84, was found in Ivegate outside the Poundworld store at 3pm on Friday.

The pensioner, who has not yet been named by police, died at Bradford Royal Infirmary later that day.

A post-mortem examination on Saturday revealed he had died of natural causes and his death is no longer being treated as suspicious, said a West Yorkshire Police spokesman.

The 62-year-old woman was later released without charge, the spokesman added.

Police sealed off Ivegate for several hours on Friday while officers conducted inquiries.

Officers were initially called to reports that the man had collapsed of suspected heart attack and an officer carried out CPR at the scene before paramedics ferried him to BRI.
