Arsonists leave car burned out near footpath
ARSONISTS left a car burned out near a public footpath in Bradford early yesterday.
Firefighters were called to Castlegate Drive in Idle at about 1.30am, where the Vauxhall Astra convertible had been abandoned and set alight.
A spokesman for Idle fire station said they had managed to save the car's engine compartment, but the rest of the vehicle was "gutted".
He added it was suspected the vehicle had been stolen, and that police were investigating.
