A LONG derelict row of Victorian houses overlooking Bradford's Lister Park may soon be brought back into use.
Fairmount Gardens was a former care home made up of seven large houses off North Park Road. The buildings have been empty for over 12 years, and are now boarded up eyesores overlooking the Manningham Park.
A company called Purefleet has now applied to Bradford Council for planning permission to turn the buildings into three new businesses - a dental surgery, day care nursery and beauty salon.
If approved the redevelopment would create around 15 full time and six part time jobs. A large grassed area on the site will be used as a play area for the nursery.
Planners at the council will decide on the application by the middle of next month.
