THE number of rough sleepers in Bradford has dropped, according to fresh government figures.

New research estimates that in autumn 2014 there were ten people sleeping on the district’s streets, compared to 12 a year earlier and 26 in 2012.

In 2011, official estimates suggested there were 30 rough sleepers in Bradford.

Nationally, it was estimated there were 2,744 rough sleepers across the country.

In Kirklees the number of people sleeping on the streets was put at four, Leeds estimated 15 rough sleepers and Calderdale, four.
