A 12-YEAR-old Bradford boy has been missing from home for more than 36 hours after leaving for school but failing to arrive.

Hamzaa Nawaz, of West Bowling, left home at 7.30am yesterday to go to Grange Technology School.

However, he failed to turn up for lessons, and police are now concerned for his welfare.

Hamzaa is Asian, 5ft tall and slim. When last seen, he was wearing a Grange Technology School uniform of black blazer, white shirt, yellow tie and black trousers.

Detective Inspector Ben McDonald, of Bradford District CID, said: "Hamzaa's family and friends are understandably worried about him and we would urge anyone with information about his current whereabouts or movements after leaving home to call Bradford CID on 101.

"Similarly, we would urge Hamzaa himself to make contact with his family or the police to confirm he is safe and well."
